Calculation based on OECD methodology.
ADMISSION BASED AMI 30 DAY IN-HOSPITAL (SAME HOSPITAL) MORTALITY = number of deaths in the same hospital that occurred within 30 days of the admission date of the AMI admission cases (I21-I22 according ICD-10)/number of admissions to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care with a primary diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) (I21-I22 according ICD-10)*100
PATIENT BASED AMI 30 DAY (IN-HOSPITAL AND OUT OF HOSPITAL) MORTALITY = number of deaths in and out the hospital that occurred within 30 days of the admission date of the AMI admission cases (I21-I22 according ICD-10)/number of last admission to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care with a primary diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) (I21-I22 according ICD-10)*100
ADMISSION BASED ISCHEMIC STROKE 30 DAY IN-HOSPITAL (SAME HOSPITAL) MORTALITY = number of deaths in the same hospital that occurred within 30 days of the admission date of the ischemic stroke admission cases (I63-I64 according ICD-10)/number of admissions to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care with a primary diagnosis of ischemic stroke (I63-I64 according ICD-10)*100
PATIENT BASED ISCHEMIC STROKE 30 DAY (IN-HOSPITAL AND OUT OF HOSPITAL) MORTALITY = number of deaths in and out the hospital that occurred within 30 days of the admission date of the ischemic stroke admission cases (I63-I64 according ICD-10)/number of last admission to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care with a primary diagnosis of ischemic stroke (I63-I64 according ICD-10)*100
ADMISSION BASED HEMORRHAGIC STROKE 30 DAY IN-HOSPITAL (SAME HOSPITAL) MORTALITY = number of deaths in the same hospital that occurred within 30 days of the admission date of the hemorrhagic stroke admission cases (I60-I62 according ICD-10)/number of admissions to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care with a primary diagnosis of hemorrhagic stroke (I60-I62according ICD-10)*100
PATIENT BASED HEMORRHAGIC STROKE 30 DAY (IN-HOSPITAL AND OUT OF HOSPITAL) MORTALITY = number of deaths in and out the hospital that occurred within 30 days of the admission date of the hemorrhagic stroke admission cases (I60-I62 according ICD-10)/number of last admission to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care with a primary diagnosis of hemorrhagic stroke (I60-I62 according ICD-10)*100
There are included admissions in the specified year for each patient admitted to hospital for acute non-elective (urgent) care from 1 January to 31 December in the specified year.
Age of patients: 15+
Death case attributed to last hospital of discharge.
Cases of one day admissions (one date of admission and discharge) are excluded.
PERIOPERATIVE 30 DAY MORTALITY RATE = number of death in and out the hospital that occurred within 30 days after major surgery (in medical records have at least one manipulation with 43 token (major surgical manipulation))/ number of patients who had major surgery in hospital)*100
The indicator includes major surgical manipulations performed from 1 January to 31 December of the year.
In the case of transfer, the death is counted to the hospital where the major surgery was performed.
The indicator does not include minor surgical manipulations, as well as manipulations performed in a day hospital.
Manipulations performed during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period are not included in the indicator (MDC group - 14).
